Measures lipoprotein lipase (LPL) in human serum, plasma, or post-heparin plasma. Dysfunction of LPL is observed in patients with type I, IV, or V hyperlipidemia. Also, low concentrations of plasma LPL is thought to cause hypertriglyceridemia. For research use only.
