About Us
Invitech Ltd was formed in 2008 by Mike Younghusband with the aim to provide high quality products, at good prices, backed up with exceptional customer service.
Mike had a long career in the diagnostics industry, working for Abbott, Biomerieux and Axis-Sheild, before becoming CEO of BBI Healthcare.
Invitech quickly grew to be one of the UK's leading suppliers of pregnancy tests and Point of Care testing devices to the NHS. The Invitech branded pregnancy tests are well recognised in hospitals across the UK.
As the company grew Invitech recruited Sue Younghusband - herself a well respected contact in the IVD industry - and, in 2015, Mike Annable, who joined from Trinity Biotech and had prior industry experience with Lab21, Hamilton and MWG-Biotech.
In 2024, Invitech was acquired by Calibre Scientific and becomes part of a growing family of businesses. Over time Invitech will integrate more closely with the group.
In May 2025 Invitech will relocate to Camlab Ltd in Over, Cambridge. This integration will enhance our service, strengthen operations, and ensure long-term stability.
