NAC-PAC N30

A complete combination of AFB specimen preparation reagents designed for processing in a 30ml centrifuge tube.

AlphaTec announces the release of NAC-PAC^TM N30, a conveniently packaged systematic approach to pre-analytical AFB specimen processing. NAC-PAC N30^TM brings together the optimum combination of AlphaTec specimen preparation reagents in a package that is designed to be used in the bio-safety cabinet. Each NAC-PACK^TM N30 includes four bench packs; each pack contains sufficient NALC and NALC Diluent to liquefy 10 patient specimens and 10 individual aliquots of each of the following: NAC-PAC Red^TM decontamination solutin, NPC-67^TM Neutralizing Buffer, and Pellet Resuspension Buffer.

The specimen preparation system in NAC-PACK^TM N30 aids in the recovery of accurate positive AFB specimens and helps reduce the number of contaminated/reprocessed samples through rigid control of pH throughout the pre-analytical process. With the introduction of the NAC-PAC^TM N30, AlphaTec specimen preparation technology is now available in a unique, easy-to-use format that can help provide improved recovery of Mycobacteria, fewer false positive results, and increased diagnostic effectiveness overall.
