Invitech appointed as exclusive distributor for American Diagnostica in the UK

On 2nd April 2013, Invitech took over the distribution of American Diagnostica’s (now known as Sekisui Diagnostics, LLC) products in the UK.  Sekisui Diagnostics is a world leader in the discovery, development and manufacture of an extensive and innovative range of clinical diagnostic and research products for use in the fields of coagulation, fibrinolysis, thrombosis, haemostasis and oncology.

A unique point of care test for syphilis

Officially launched by Invitech at BASHH in June 2012 was the world’s first rapid, POC combination screening and confirmatory test for syphilis.  Manufactured by American company, Chembio, this novel test enables treatment decisions to occur at POC for the first time.

Chembio also has a range of veterinary POC tests for tuberculosis.

A new range of microbiology and autoimmune products for Invitech

Invitech was appointed as the exclusive UK distributor for Viramed products in March 2012.  Complementing Invitech’s existing microbiology and autoimmune product ranges, ViraBlot® and ViraStripe® line blot assays combine innovative technology with the newest biotechnological standards for optimal test properties.

Invitech represents LDN in the UK and Scandinavia

Invitech was delighted to have been chosen to represent LDN (Labor Diagnostika Nord) in the UK and Scandinavia from January 2012.

LDN is one of the worldwide leaders in biogenic amine analysis, with a wide range of products in both ELISA and RIA formats.

Other products from LDN include a comprehensive endocrinological panel and a range of histamine tests for food control.

A new product range for Invitech

In December 2011, Invitech took over the distribution of Immunetics products in the UK and Scandinavia.  Immunetics has a range of specialised diagnostic tests, based on ELISA and Western Blot methodologies.

The C6 ELISA kit for Lyme disease is probably the most well-known product from Immunetics.  The test is based on a 26 amino-acid peptide, known as the C6 peptide, which has been shown to be both specific and highly immunogenic.

Also available from Immunetics are the Miniblotter and MiniSlot systems.  Designed for membrane assays, these instruments provide a means to reduce the volume of probe or sample used in the assay, whilst also enabling fast and efficient processing of multiple samples.
