The DIASTAT™ anti-proteinase 3 (anti-PR3) test is a quantitative/qualitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of autoantibodies specific for proteinase 3 antigen in human serum or plasma. It is intended to aid in the diagnosis of Wegener’s granulomatosis and other conditions associated with raised anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) and is not definitive in isolation. Autoantibody levels represent one parameter in a multicriterion diagnostic process.
