The DIASTAT™ anti-ß2-glycoprotein 1 IgG (ß2GP1) test is a quantitative/qualitative enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of the IgG class of autoantibodies specific for ß2GP1 antigen in human serum or citrate/EDTA anticoagulated plasma. It is intended to aid in the assessment of thrombotic risk in patients with autoimmune disease associated with thrombotic disorders such as primary anti-phospholipid syndrome or secondary to systemic lupus erythematosus. It is not definitive in isolation. Autoantibody levels represent one parameter in a multicriterion diagnostic process.
