Euro-Diagnostica

Euro-Diagnostica acquired the complete DIASTAT product range in 2003, followed in 2004 by the acquisition of Wieslab AB and Wieslab Analys.

Euro-Diagnostica develops and manufacturers an extensive product range e.g. complete diagnostic kits and reagents for use in both routine and research diagnostics.

The products are used in hospitals, research laboratories and universities particularly in the autoimmune and immunochemistry fields.

Invitech (as Euro-Diagnostica UK) are agents for Euro-Diagnostica AB in the United Kingdom.

DIASTAT

The DIASTAT range is a well proven, robust, reliable and extensive range of autoimmune products. Euro-Diagnostica are continually improving this range as well as expanding it by bringing out innovative new products. Product range includes: FDNA100, FMPO200, FPRO200 and FCCP100.

Wieslab Kits

Euro-Diagnostica acquired Wieslab and Wieslab Analys in 2004. This acquisition further strengthened Euro-Diagnostica's position in the field of autoimmune diagnosis. Wieslab complement kits are well recognised as quality products covering the classical, alternative and MBL pathways.

RIA and IRMA Kits (CE marked)

Radioimmunoassay (RIA) is a competitive-binding immunoassay. An unknown quantity of antigen in test samples competes with a fixed concentration of radiolabelled antigen in binding to a fixed amount of antibody. Known concentrations of unlabelled antigen are included in the assay to construct a standard calibration curve from which the concentration of antigen in test samples can be calculated. An immunoradiometric assay (IRMA) differs from RIA in that the radiolabelled ragent is used in excess and does not compete with unlabelled reagent. For the measurement of antigen, specific antibodies are typically coated on beads or on the inside surface of plastic tubes or wells and the solution containing the test antigen is added. After washing to remove unbound antigen, an excess of radiolabelled antibody specific to a different epitope is added. After washing to remove unbound labelled antibody, the radiolabel is measured to quantify the bound antigen.
