About us...

Mike Younghusband, MD

Mike Younghusband is the managing director at Invitech. He has been in the diagnostics industry for 38 years, and has worked for Abbott, bioMerieux and Axis-Shield UK. Before starting Invitech, he was CEO of BBI Healthcare.

In 2008, Mike realised a lifelong ambition of running his own business when he set up Invitech. His aim was to provide high quality products, at good prices, backed up with exceptional customer service.

Mike's others main ambition is to finally beat Sophie at Call of Duty. Sadly, this is proving to be a very far-fetched and hopeless dream.

Sue Younghusband, Marketing Director

Sue Younghusband joined Invitech in 2011, as marketing director. Although reluctant to admit it because it makes her feel old, she has 35 years of diagnostics industry experience. Before joining Invitech, Sue was marketing director for Axis-Shield UK.

Sue's dream is to one day open Sophie's bedroom door to a tidy and organised room, where you can actually see the floor. Again, this seems like an impossible wish, but she will never stop hoping.

Frank Hurst, Business Development Manager

Frank Hurst is Invitech's business development manager, with an even more impressive 43 years of diagnostic experience. He has previously worked for Amersham in the UK and Scandinavia before setting up his own company, Biotech-IgG, in 1980.

Frank was looking forward to a peaceful retirement, until Invitech came along and 'rescued' him in 2011.

Karen Hadley, Office Manager

Karen Hadley is the office manager at Invitech, and has been here since the very start. She is responsible for customer service, order processing, accounts, stock control and logistics. Karen was also instrumental in getting ISO 9001:2008 accreditation for Invitech in 2009.

Between gardening and cats, Karen finds it difficult to fit in her interest in all things Steampunk. Her ambition is for weeds to become eradicated in a weed apocalyptic incident and she's working on the science of it now.

Sophie Younghusband, Marketing Assistant

Sophie Younghusband is Invitech's newest and youngest employee (the company needed a youth policy!), joining the company in 2012 as marketing assistant. She is busy applying the skills she is learning in A level English, business studies and biology, and in doing so, offers a fresh perspective to Invitech.

Sophie's biggest achievement was managing to incinerate popcorn to such an extent that the microwave still smells singed to this day. Her ultimate dream is to one day become a chiropractor for humans & animals (no jokes here! ha-ha).
